customization process faq

What is the full process for ordering custom plush toys?

Our standard workflow is: Requirement Discussion → Quotation Confirmation → Sample Fee Payment → Prototype Development → Sample Approval → Contract Signing & Deposit Payment → Mass Production → Final Quality Inspection → Balance Payment → Shipment & Delivery.

What information do I need to provide to get a quotation?

Please share your design drawings (front, side, and back views), target size, estimated order quantity, and any special process requirements (such as embroidery, printing, sound modules, weighted filling, etc.). We will send you a formal quotation within 24 hours.

Can you quote based only on sketches, AI-generated art, or line art?

We can provide a preliminary price estimate, but an accurate final quotation requires finalized full-color artwork. If you only have line art or AI-generated images, we will first assess manufacturability and give you a price range. The final price will be confirmed before sample production begins.

Can you help optimize my design for production?

Yes. Our sampling team will provide design simplification suggestions from the perspectives of production feasibility, safety compliance, and cost control. We will improve mass-producibility and structural durability while preserving your core visual identity.

What file formats do you accept for design files?

We prefer high-resolution vector or bitmap files in AI, PDF, or PNG format. For embroidery designs, we recommend vector files to ensure accurate stitch reproduction.

Can one design be produced in multiple color variants?

Yes. All color variants share the same base paper pattern, with only fabric colors or print patterns changed. There is no additional pattern development fee for extra colorways; costs are calculated based on actual color and material usage.

Can you make plush with electronic components or sound functions?

Yes. We support built-in sound modules, squeeze sound boxes, voice recorders, LED lights, and other electronic components. All components meet the safety standards of your target market. Specific pricing and solutions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

samples prototyping faq 1

How much does sample prototyping cost?

For simple designs, sample fees range from $89–$175 per style. For complex structures, special processes, or electronic-integrated designs, fees range from $195–$280 per style. Exact pricing depends on design complexity.

How long does sample production take?

For standard designs, sample lead time is 7–15 business days. For complex structures or designs requiring multiple rounds of adjustment, lead time is 10–18 business days, counted from receipt of the sample fee and finalized artwork.

Can the sample fee be credited toward my bulk order?

Yes. 50% of the sample fee will be credited to your invoice for bulk orders of 500 pieces or more. For orders of 2,000 pieces or more, 100% of the sample fee is fully creditable. This applies once per design.

How many revision rounds are included in the sample fee?

Each design includes 2 free minor revision rounds (such as color shade adjustments or embroidery position tweaks). Major changes such as structural modifications or full pattern reworks will incur additional fees based on the scope of changes.

Can I get a refund if I’m not satisfied with the sample?

Sample fees cover pattern development, materials, and labor costs, and are non-refundable once production has started. We will thoroughly communicate all process limitations before sampling to ensure the sample direction aligns with your expectations.

Can you ship the physical sample to me for approval?

Yes. Once the sample is complete, we will first send high-resolution photos and videos for your review. Upon your approval, we can ship the physical sample via international courier. Shipping costs are borne by the recipient, or can be added to your sample fee invoice.

Will the sample match bulk production in size and materials?

Yes. Pre-production samples use the exact same fabrics, fillings, and production standards as bulk production. The approved sample serves as the benchmark for bulk order acceptance.

Can I order only samples without placing a bulk order?

Yes. We offer stand-alone sampling services. You can use prototypes for crowdfunding campaign photos, trade show displays, internal reviews, and more — there is no mandatory bulk order requirement.

bulk orders moq faq

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

The MOQ for simple custom plush designs is 50 pieces per style. For complex structures, multi-color variants, or special-process designs, the MOQ ranges from 100–300 pieces per style, subject to design assessment.

Can I place a small trial order of 20 or 30 pieces?

We do not accept bulk orders under 50 pieces. Very small runs result in excessively high unit costs and high production waste. We recommend starting with a prototype for validation, then moving to mass production once you meet the MOQ.

What is the typical mass production lead time?

For standard designs, bulk production takes 15–35 business days, counted from sample approval and receipt of the deposit. Lead times for large orders or complex-process designs will be confirmed separately.

Does a larger order quantity lower the unit price?

Yes. Fixed costs for pattern development, tooling, and production line setup are amortized across each unit. The larger your order, the lower the per-unit cost. We offer tiered pricing with different unit prices for 500, 1,000, and 1,500 pieces.

Can I combine multiple styles in one order?

Yes. Each style is priced and counted separately. As long as each style meets its MOQ, you can combine them into one order and ship them together.

Can I add more units or change the design mid-production?

Quantity adjustments can be negotiated before the official fabric cutting stage. Once cutting and production have begun, design changes or large quantity adjustments are not possible. We recommend confirming all details before placing your order.

Will the bulk goods differ from the approved sample?

We produce bulk goods strictly in accordance with the approved sample. Minor color variations and size tolerances (within ±5%) may occur due to fabric batches and handcrafted production, which is considered normal industry practice.

What is included in your quoted price?

Our standard EXW factory price covers fabrics, accessories, labor, packaging (default individual OPP polybags), and pre-shipment quality inspection. Certification fees, shipping costs, and custom packaging fees are calculated separately.

What payment methods do you accept?

For sample fees, we accept PayPal (subject to a 5% processing fee), Wise, and wire transfer. For bulk orders, we accept USD/EUR wire transfer (T/T) and SEPA transfers, all payable to our official corporate bank account.

What are your payment terms?

Orders under $3,000 require full payment upfront. For orders over $3,000, our standard terms are a 40% deposit to confirm the order, with the remaining 60% balance due prior to shipment. Custom payment terms for long-term partners may be negotiated based on cooperation history.

How long is a quotation valid?

Formal quotations are typically valid for 30 days. During periods of high raw material price volatility, a specific validity period will be noted.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Our quotations are fully transparent with all cost items clearly listed. If additional costs arise from temporary client requests, we will communicate with you in advance and only proceed with your written confirmation.

What international safety standards do your products meet?

We manufacture to your target market’s requirements, and support all major children’s product safety standards including US CPSIA/CPSC, EU EN71, UK UKCA, and Australia/New Zealand AS/NZS ISO 8124.

Are certification and testing fees included in the unit price?

No. Third-party testing is charged separately. Official test reports and certificates are issued by authoritative laboratories. Fees are calculated based on test items and destination market standards, with one test per production batch.

Can you provide CPC and CE certificates?

Yes. Upon completion of applicable testing, we provide CPC certificates issued by CPSC-accepted laboratories, as well as full EU CE/EN71 test reports, which can be used for customs clearance and platform listing.

Is manufacturer information required on the product?

Yes. Per EU EN71 and US CPSC regulations, permanent care labels must include traceability information such as manufacturer details, age warnings, and material descriptions. This is a mandatory compliance requirement and cannot be removed.

What are the requirements for age grading labels?

We provide professional age grading recommendations based on product structure and small part hazards. All label information must be fully consistent with the test report and CPC certificate to ensure smooth customs clearance and full compliance.

packaging shipping faq

What is your default packaging?

Default packaging is individual clear OPP polybags. Outer packaging is standard export corrugated cartons, which can be printed with shipping marks and barcodes per your requirements.

Do you offer custom packaging?

Yes. We support custom hang tags, insert cards, color boxes, gift bags, and more. Simply provide your design files, and pricing will be calculated based on actual materials and processes.

What shipping methods do you support?

We support international express (DHL, UPS, FedEx), air freight, and LCL/FCL sea freight. We offer multiple trade terms including FOB, CIF, and DDP.

How long does sea shipping take to the US and Europe?

Sea shipping to the US West Coast takes approximately 35–45 days, and to Europe approximately 45–65 days. Full DDP door-to-door transit takes about 50–65 calendar days, with minor fluctuations depending on port and customs clearance efficiency.

Is cargo insurance included for shipments?

Yes. All shipments arranged through our official logistics partners include cargo insurance covering standard transit risks, ensuring your goods arrive safely.

Can you ship to multiple overseas warehouse addresses?

Yes. We support split shipments to third-party warehouses in multiple countries and regions in proportional quantities. Split shipment fees and freight costs are calculated separately for each destination address.

What should I do if I find quality issues after receiving the goods?

Please provide photos and videos of the issues within 7 business days of delivery. After verification, we will offer solutions such as repair, replacement, or a proportional deduction based on the actual situation.

Do you support repeat orders? What is the process?

Yes, we welcome repeat orders. Reorders for existing patterns do not require an additional sample fee — simply confirm the quantity and we will arrange production. Lead times for reorders are typically shorter than first orders. If minor design adjustments are needed, fees will be assessed separately.
